Upgrading the Photoshop SimpleViewer Script
Before upgrading your PhotoShop script, please ensure you have installed the latest PhotoShop SimpleViewer Script.
To upgrade your Photoshop SimpleViewer Script installation to Pro:
- Install the latest PhotoShop SimpleViewer Script.
- Replace the svcore folder in the Photoshop SimpleViewer script folder with the one from the Pro download. To do this:
- Copy the /web/svcore/ folder from the Pro download folder.
- Copy it into the /Presets/Scripts/SimpleViewer/ folder inside the PhotoShop application folder, replacing the existing svcore folder.
- Inside the svcore/js/ folder, rename the 'simpleviewer.js' file to '~simpleviewer.js' and the 'swfobject.js' file to '~swfobject.js'.
- Restart PhotoShop. Any galleries you create from now on will be Pro.
- To customize Pro galleries created with the template, open the generated gallery with svBuilder-Pro.
Upgrading the Picasa SimpleViewer Template
To upgrade your Picasa SimpleViewer Template installation to Pro:
- Replace the svcore folder in the Picasa SimpleViewer template assets folder with the one from the Pro download. To do this:
- Copy the /web/svcore/ folder from the Pro download folder.
- Paste it to the /web/templates/simpleviewer_picasa_template/assets/ folder inside the Picasa application folder, replacing the existing svcore folder. [Note for Mac Users: To browse inside the Picasa package, use ctrl-click and select "Show Package Contents"]
- Restart Picasa. Any galleries you create from now on will be Pro.
- To customize Pro galleries created with the template, open the generated gallery with svBuilder-Pro.
Upgrading the SimpleViewer Template for Lightroom
Please note that default Lightroom SimpleViewer module does not support SimpleViewer-Pro v2.0. In order to use SimpleViewer-Pro v2.0 with Lightroom, you first need to install the TTG SimpleViewer-2 plugin.
- Install the TTG SimpleViewer-2 Template for Adobe Lightroom. Download and install instructions are here.
- Upgrade the TTG SimpleViewer-2 Template to use SimpleViewer-Pro:
- Replace the svcore folder in the ttg_simpleviewer-2.lrwebengine package with the one from the Pro download. To do this:
- Copy the /web/svcore/ folder from the Pro download folder.
- Paste it to the ttg_simpleviewer-2.lrwebengine folder, replacing the existing svcore folder. Where this folder is depends on your OS:
- On Mac: Users/username/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Lightroom/Web Galleries/.
[Note: To browse inside the package, use ctrl-click and select "Show Package Contents"]
- On Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Adobe\Lightroom\Web Galleries\. [Note: the “Application Data” folder is usually hidden. You must enable “show hidden folders” in the folder options before you can browse to it.]
- On Windows Vista & Windows 7: C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Lightroom\Web Galleries\

- Restart Lightroom. Any galleries you create from now on will be Pro.
- To customize Pro galleries created with the template, open the generated gallery with svBuilder-Pro.
Upgrading Adobe Bridge to SimpleViewer-Pro.
To use SimpleViewer-Pro with Adobe Bridge you need to replace the SWF file in the Bridge template folder with the one from the SimpleViewer-Pro download. To do this:
- Copy the /web/svcore/simpleviewer.swf file from the Pro download folder.
- Rename it to viewer.swf
- Overwrite the existing viewer.swf file in the following directory:
- On Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CS5 Extensions\Adobe Output Module\mediagallery\resources\airtightgallery\simpleviewer\
- On Mac: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CS5 Extensions/Adobe Output Module/mediagallery/resources/airtightgallery/simpleviewer/
- Restart Adobe Bridge. Any galleries that you create from now on will be Pro.
- To customize Pro galleries created with Bridge, open the generated gallery with svBuilder-Pro.
Upgrading Other Templates
For most other templates and plugins, to upgrade to Pro:
- Replace the SWF file in the template folder with the one from the Pro download. To do this:
- Copy the /web/svcore/simpleviewer.swf file from the Pro download folder.
- Search for simpleviewer.swf inside the template folder. Paste the Pro SWF over the existing SWF.
- Restart the application that uses the template. Any galleries that you create from now on will be Pro.
- To customize Pro galleries created with the template, open the generated gallery with svBuilder-Pro.
